| Profile Narrative | Hi I'm Julie Hooper and I've been in the beauty industry for 12 years. I will say how nice it is to have worked so many different sides of the business. My work has included everything from choreogragraphing and producing platform work for hair shows, to working for a Fortune 500 company. I have experience giving advanced education to stylists in large workshops, hair shows and in salons, as well as experience in marketing and sales. I currently am a consultant for Alterna, do on and off-site weddings and am pleased to be active as a stylist in the salon as well. |
| My Work Style | The essential priority for a stylist when discussing options with a new client is to accutely listen to what they're saying and to make sure that the two visions between the stylist and the client match. Not only do I listen to what the client is saying, I watch how they're dressed, how they carry themselves and try and get a feel for their personal lifestyle and how the look is going to play into their own life. |
| My Clientele | Currently, I am in the process of moving back to Center City (of Philadelphia) where I am looking forward to finding a salon near Rittenhouse. My previous clientel was in Georgetown (of D.C.) But I am looking forward to being in the city life of Philadelphia again. |
| My Current Hair Style | Jumping on the current bob trend, I myself have found a love of the classic look because there are variations to this cut and it's timeless. I currently have a chin length sleek Vidal Sassoon inspired bob. My personal favorite look is classic with a slight twist. |
